The terminal

A terminal in the same project folder as the Data Agent, with split panes and voice dictation.

Open a terminal

Select New Terminal in the tab bar’s new-tab menu, or press Ctrl+T (Cmd+T on Mac). The terminal opens in the project folder.

To change a shortcut, go to Settings, Shortcuts.

Rendering problems

If terminal text draws incorrectly, go to Settings, Terminal, GPU Acceleration and select Off. Auto, the default, falls back to the slower renderer on graphics hardware that doesn’t support the fast one.

Dictation

Turn dictation on in Settings, Voice, Enable Voice Dictation, and download a speech model there. Then press Ctrl+E (Cmd+E on Mac) with a terminal, the editor, or the Data Agent composer focused. Under Dictation Mode, Toggle starts on the first press and stops on the second; Hold dictates while you hold the keys.

Without a speech model, BioBase shows “No speech model selected. Download one in Settings > Voice.”
