# Projects

> Add a folder on your disk as a project, open Data Agent tabs in it, and reopen past sessions.

## Add a project

In the left sidebar, add a project and select **Browse folder** to choose a folder on your disk. The **Add a project** dialog also offers **Clone from URL**, **Project on SSH host**, and **Create new project**.

The Data Agent needs a folder on this computer. A project opened over SSH shows **Open this project on its local host**; the terminal still works there.

## Open a Data Agent

Open the tab bar's new-tab menu and select **New Data Agent**, the first entry. Data Agent and terminal tabs share the same project folder.

## Reopen a past session

In a Data Agent tab, select **Show sessions**, then **Open existing session**, and search with **Find sessions**. Sessions you open from the cloud start with Sync on; sessions already on this device keep their Sync setting.

## Workspace folder

A session you open from the cloud, or one created without choosing a folder, downloads into a **BioBase** folder in your Documents. To change that location, go to Settings, **General**, **Data Agent workspace folder** and select **Browse**. **Use default** restores the original. Workspaces already on this device stay where they are.

Each folder holds one workspace. Choosing a folder another workspace already syncs shows "`<title>` already syncs this folder. Choose a different folder for this workspace."

## Remove a project

Open the project's menu in the sidebar and select **Remove Project**. The folder stays on your disk.
