# Files

> Browse the project folder and the Data Agent's outputs, open files in BioBase, or open them outside it.

## The file explorer

The file explorer in the right sidebar shows the project folder, including the Data Agent's outputs. Files a synced workspace pulls from Infera Cloud arrive in a `research` folder inside it.

## Open a file

Select a file to open it in a pane. Research formats open in a [viewer](/viewers/overview), with a toggle to the source where the format has one. Text files open in the editor. A file BioBase can't load, including one over its size limit, shows **Unable to load file**; the [viewers page](/viewers/overview) lists the limits.

## Work with files outside BioBase

Right-click a file or folder for file actions, including **Copy Path** and **Open in Terminal**. To show the item in your operating system, select **Reveal in Finder** on Mac, **Reveal in File Explorer** on Windows, or **Open Containing Folder** on Linux.

To open the whole workspace folder, select **Open workspace folder** in the Data Agent's sync strip.
